ABOUT

ABBY LONDON

THE STORY SO FAR

Abby London was born and raised in Coeur d'Alene, North Idaho. From an early age, she sang and played the piano. She began writing songs as soon as she could talk. Throughout her school years, Abby explored various musical pursuits, including piano, guitar, musicals, and baton twirling. It was during middle school when she started experimenting with recording, using her little sister's Playskool cassette recorder.

After high school, Abby's adventurous spirit took her on travels across the South, Midwest, Mexico, and Alaska, all while carrying her faithful guitar. During this time, she honed her musical skills, resulting in her album "Fill You Up" which focused on themes of self-confidence and wholeheartedly dedicating herself to music.

Subsequently, Abby's path brought her to Seattle, where she found a job she wanted at The Mac Store. Selling computers and working at the help desk supported her financially and provided her with a strong foundation in technology, which proved beneficial for her music career. In Seattle, Abby made new friends and immersed herself in the local music scene, performing shows and open mics. Additionally, she volunteered for a hip-hop promotion company, gaining valuable insights into event organization and venue management. One day, on her lunch break, Abby's life took a transformative turn when angels guided her to start listening to an AM radio station with holistic healers – planting the seed of what was to come.

Abby quit the tech job and worked weekends at a music venue due to nerve problems caused by excessive device use. During her rest, she recorded an album called "Piano Songs." She captured the essence of her live performances by simultaneously recording the vocals and piano parts, later adding a few additional instruments to enhance the tracks. The album's themes touched on relationships, ignoring intuition, and loss. Each theme reflects her penchant for an introspective pulse in her compositions.

After her time at the music venue, Abby London found herself a new job in tech at a private school, embracing a fresh chapter in her life. During this period, she started seeing a doctor she had heard on the radio. The school's demands on her body eventually led her to quit, but she continued to work on music, seeking professional guidance for the personal struggles that were impeding her progress in both music and life. During this period, she made the decision to seek help and undergo treatment for addiction. Simultaneously, she pursued business classes,

started a marketing group for musicians, and began recording at a new studio, blending her passion for self-improvement and music.

Changing herself also transformed Abby's perspective on the world, influencing her to think more logically and align her actions with her values. She realized that her healing process also entailed breaking free from leftism, a unique aspect that sets her apart from other musicians in Seattle. Refusing to conform to the mainstream, Abby began infusing elements of personal responsibility and politics into her original music and political parodies, gaining recognition through appearances on TV and radio shows like KOMO news, Dori Monson, Saul Spady, Kirby Wilbur, Todd Herman, Ari Hoffman, and The Bufferflies and Hurricanes podcast.

Known for her performances at freedom-friendly events like political rallies and festivals, Abby adds context to her songs with fun skits and videos. In 2021, she presented a scripted two-act musical-like performance at a friend's house, complete with lighting, a projector screen, actors, a tech person, sound person, costume changes, and baton twirling. The show's success and the audience response brought immense joy to Abby, making it one of the best nights of her life.

Musically, Abby's style falls into the genre of anti-pop, sometimes described as alternative pop. Her lyrics are introspective, mischievous, and political. Her sound has drawn comparisons to artists like Lorde and Nelly Furtado.

When she's not immersed in music-related activities, Abby leads a fulfilling life with her boyfriend in Kenmore, WA, sharing her home with two cats, Russel and Sissy, along with a few fish. Beyond her artistic endeavors, she enjoys working on home projects, traveling, and staying organized.

Looking ahead, Abby plans to continue creating content for social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and Truth Social. She aims to record and release a full album, collaborate with fellow artists, and write and perform another grand show in the future. With her dedication and versatile talents, Abby London is determined to leave her mark on the music industry.

Throughout her endeavors, Abby London has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to her music and her own growth while inspiring others to embrace their journey of self-improvement and artistic expression.
